# Delete your account

Ask for your Curade Mini account and its data to be deleted from Settings or by email, or withdraw your consent to stop its use at once.

**Delete account** asks Core Consulting to delete your account and the data linked to it. Nothing is deleted when you tap it, and the account keeps working until the deletion is done.

## Before you begin

- You know the password you sign in with. If you have forgotten it, reset it first ([Sign in](https://curade.ai/en/curade-mini/docs/account/sign-in/)).
- A deletion cannot be undone once it is done. Chats you started, with their messages and files, go with the account.

## Steps

1. Open **Settings** from the drawer.
2. Under **Account**, tap **Delete account**.
3. Type your password on **Confirm it's you**.
4. Read what happens next, then tap **Send request**.

## Result

Core Consulting deletes your account within 30 days and emails a confirmation to your address once it is done. Until then the row shows the date you asked, and tapping it offers **Withdraw request**, which cancels the request and leaves the account as it is.

## What goes and what is kept

The deletion removes your sign in, your profile, your environment access, your widgets, every CLEO chat you started with its messages and files, your notifications, your monitoring alerts and your device's push registration. A few records stay for a short while, so that Core Consulting can show how it handled the account:

- sign in attempt records, for up to 12 hours;
- account email records, for up to 3 hours;
- a short record of what the account agreed to and asked for, for up to 2 years;
- a record of each suspension and of the deletion, with who made it, for up to 2 years.

What you wrote in chats other people started stays there, without your name.

## Without the app

Email [platformeng@curade.ai](mailto:platformeng@curade.ai) from the address your account signs in with, and ask for the deletion. Core Consulting replies to that address to check the request came from you.

## Withdrawing your consent instead

**Withdraw consent**, the last row under Account, stops Core Consulting using your personal data at once. It needs your password too, then suspends the account straight away and signs it out everywhere. The account is deleted at the next daily run with **Delete at the next daily run**, or no later than 14 days after the suspension if you ask to keep it suspended. Until then, signing in again offers **Restore account**.

## An account nobody uses

An account nobody has used for 12 months is deleted automatically. Warnings arrive by email and in the inbox 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before, and opening the app before then keeps the account.
