# Sign in

Sign in to Curade with your email address and password, reset a forgotten password with a link from an email, and sign out when you finish.

You sign in with your account's email address and password. A forgotten password is reset with a link from an email.

## Before you begin

- Your account is set up ([Get access](https://curade.ai/en/curade/docs/get-started/access/)).

## Steps

1. Open your organisation's Curade address in your browser.
2. Type your email address under **Email**.
3. Type your password under **Password**.
4. Select **Sign in**.

## Result

Curade opens on the **Dashboard**. When it says the email or password is not valid, check both and try again, or reset the password as below.

## A forgotten password

1. Select **Forgot password?** on the sign in page.
2. Enter your email address and select **Send reset link**.
3. Open the link in the email within five minutes. After that it no longer works, and you ask for a new one.
4. Type a new password twice and select **Update password**. It needs 8 or more characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character.

## Signing out

**Log Out**, at the foot of the sidebar, then **Confirm Logout**, ends your session in that browser.
